Who am I and what can I become?
C-LOR exists to answer these questions by redefining how we understand personal potential. By using cognitive science and AI-driven insights, our assessment tool powered by YouScience reveals what makes each person uniquely capable, then matches those abilities to real-world career options that inspire purpose and passion.
You were built for something, let’s find out what!
Feeling uncertain?
What am I good at doing?
Where do I start?
What do I want to be?
How do I make it happen?
Will I be fulfilled in my career?
Do I need college?
HELP!
You are not alone.
Many students report feeling uncertain and ill prepared for life after high school.
• Education is out of sync with industry and career prep is lacking.
• Students often lack awareness of available career paths and opportunities.
• Rising tuition + student debt worsen the problem.
What if… And, how?
• You could identify your natural, innate talents distinct from your grades, education, and life circumstances?
• You could apply those natural talents to relevant and viable careers?
• You could confidently choose between joining the work world, pursuing a trade, or continuing your education in college?
Meet C-LOR
You’re A-HA moment!
C-LOR uses the YouScience Cognitive Assessment, an online aptitude-to-education-to-career convergence platform. By first identifying a person’s natural aptitudes + interests + values, our AI then matches them with their best fit careers and the educational and/or experience alternatives to determine their career pathway.
Our message is simple: We empower young adults with self-knowledge to create a clear plan for their future.
So, What Are Aptitudes?
As unique to you as your DNA
Aptitudes are the natural abilities to learn or perform, not to be confused with skills, knowledge, or interests. These intrinsic traits are not based on grades, education, or experience.
Aptitudes: What you are naturally designed to do.
You are born with aptitudes that do not change beyond age 14. As an example, if you are right- or left-hand dominant, you might consider your dominant hand to be your brain’s dominant aptitude. Tasks or skills using your dominant hand feel natural whereas those same tasks would be difficult if using your non dominant hand.
Note, one hand is not intellectually superior to the other, as is the same with your natural aptitudes. But, your aptitudes don’t develop on their own...
Skills: What you can learn to do.
If you’re naturally righthanded, you would then develop skills with your right hand, like throwing a ball. Your aptitude alone will not make you a good pitcher. But, you develop skills and knowledge more easily when you develop them with your natural aptitudes.
Interests: What you would like to do.
Your interest might then be baseball. You acquire interests based upon your exposure; therefore, interests tend to change over time. In many cases, students might have an aptitude but not an interest in a career because they’ve never been exposed to it.

Make an
impact today
Behind every young adult in foster care is a story of adversity—and a system trying its best but struggling under the weight of too many cases. The C-LOR aptitudes model changes this narrative by putting a dedicated advocate in that young person's corner to help them answer two critical questions: Who am I, and what can I become?
C-LOR exists to redefine how we understand personal potential. By leveraging cognitive science and AI-driven insights through our YouScience assessment tool, we reveal what makes each individual uniquely capable. We then match those natural abilities to real-world career paths that inspire purpose, passion, and independence.
You have the power to bring stability and a clear future to a young adult navigating a crisis. When you donate to C-LOR, you invest in the recruitment and support of advocates who ensure every voice is heard, every need is met, and every individual is set up to thrive.
Other Ways to Give
-
When you make recurring donations to C-LOR through our monthly giving program, you become part of our Giving Circle. As part of the Circle, you will directly support C-LOR as they train and support Court Appointed Special Advocates who tirelessly advocate for the best interests of children living in foster care. Together, we ensure they have every opportunity to achieve stability in a safe and healthy environment.
-
A tribute or memorial gift is a thoughtful way to celebrate a special person or remember a loved one while supporting the needs of children in foster care. You can also raise money by asking others to give to C-LOR in lieu of gifts for birthdays, graduations, weddings, anniversaries, or other events. Gifts can be made using our secure, online donation forms above. You can also mail a donation using the mailing addresses above or make a credit card donation over the phone by calling the phone number above.
-
Giving appreciated securities—stocks, bonds, and mutual funds—benefits both donors and Voices for Children. In most cases, donors receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the security and do not have to pay capital gains tax on the transfer of securities that have been held for at least a year.
-
Join C-LOR by donating cryptocurrency and make an important difference for children in foster care.
The IRS classifies cryptocurrencies as property, so cryptocurrency donations to 501(c)3 charities receive the same tax treatment as stocks. Donating cryptocurrency is a non-taxable event, meaning you do not owe capital gains tax on the appreciated amount and can deduct it on your taxes. Consult with your financial planner to determine your tax benefits.

Did you know that many employers offer generous matching gift programs that can double or even triple the impact of your donation to C-LOR? Matching gift programs can dramatically increase your charitable gift at no additional cost to you. Many companies will match their employees’ donations (and sometimes employee spouse or retiree gifts as well!). Some companies even match volunteer hours and in-kind donations.
Find out if your employer or the employers of your friends and family have matching gift programs. You can often get more information from your company’s HR department. Each company has its own guidelines, but many will match gifts annually. Leverage your support to help more children.
-
By supporting C-LOR, businesses and organizations help provide necessary resources to recruit, train, and provide ongoing professional support to CASA volunteers as they advocate for a better future for our community’s children. Corporate philanthropy, workplace giving, and creating awareness through internal outreach and communications are just a few ways you can support C-LOR and help keep children safe. Let us help tailor a specific program to your budget and philanthropic goals. We welcome the opportunity to explore ways to engage your employees or members in a partnership with C-LOR.
-
Create a legacy so your generosity continues to have an impact for generations to come. By making a charitable bequest, you can help ensure children in foster care will have strong advocates for years to come. Legacy gifts can have significant tax benefits for forward-thinking donors and your heirs. By including C-LOR in your estate planning, you can make a legacy gift that may not be possible during your lifetime. Bequests in any amount can be unrestricted or designated for a specific purpose.
Here is sample wording for you and your attorney to consider when including a bequest to Voices for Children in your estate: “I give to C-LOR, a nonprofit organization (IRS EIN #XX-XXXXXXXX), the sum of $_________ [or property described herein].”
Aside from a simple will or estate designation, there are other options for planned giving including a charitable gift annuity, a charitable lead trust, or a life insurance policy. Always check with your estate attorney or financial advisor for additional information.
